Cause and Effect
There are many causes of air pollution. For sanity’s sake, we’ve done our best to categorize them at a more general level. Before we get into the different causes, let’s take a quick step back and look at the different variations of air pollution.
First, there’s invisible and visible air pollution. The smog you see lingering over a city is a good example of visible pollution.Invisible pollutants aren’t as noticeable, but they can be just as deadly, if not more so. Examples of invisible pollutants include nitrogen oxides, sulfur dioxide, and carbon monoxide, to name a few.Carbon monoxide inhaled and introduced into the human blood stream spells trouble if the pollution is a high enough concentration.Digging down even deeper, air pollution can be split into primary and secondary pollutants.Primary pollutants, such as sulfur dioxide, are ones directly released into the atmosphere. Secondary pollutants, like smog for example, are the result of primary pollutants intermingling with the already existing particles in the atmosphere.
- The burning of fossil fuels. Sulfur dioxide emitted from the combustion of fossil fuels like coal, petroleum and other factory combustibles are one the major cause of air pollution.
- Agricultural activities.
- Exhaust from factories and industries.
- Mining operations.
- Indoor air pollution.

I have a breakfast habit of drinking milk. I usually drink packaged milk instead of can. After that, I threw away the milk packaging. But, I was late to realize that this milk packaging is quite difficult to decompose. And can cause soil pollution or water pollution. | I need to drink milk at breakfast. And I think drinking milk can add energy. But, now I choose to buy a refillable milk packaging that is sufficient (large size). I also drink more water because the body needs more fluids. With this I can reduce milk packaging waste that can waste it. | I've been trying to reduce milk cans trash. But I want to recycle milk cans trash. I will recycle milk cans into handicrafts, like turning trash cans into pencil cases. I think it will get better. |
Wisdom Buying bottled drinks such as packaged milk which is small in size will cause soil pollution or water pollution. That can make the soil infertile, so that it can disturb plants. And if milk packages are thrown into rivers or the sea, they can disturb existing biota. We cannot get fertile plants and clean water. | Love We must try to reduce waste and recycle it. They are all forms of love for our nature, for our earth. I stopped buying packaged milk because it made my earth dirty. I do it because I love my earth. | Piedge - I will reduce disposable wrap. - I will learn to recycle trash. - I will selectively buy food or drinks. - I will tell the family and my friends to reduce and recycle trash. |
